Solidarités Jeunesses est la branche française du mouvement international "Action Jeunesse pour la Paix" qui, depuis 1923, oeuvre :
Pour la participation volontaire de tous, particulièrement les jeunes
et les plus défavorisés, à la vie locale, nationale et internationale.
Pour un développement local soucieux de l’individu, de l’environnement et du patrimoine culturel.
Pour un décloisonnement interculturel, international et entre les générations.
Pour une construction concrète de la paix,
En permettant à toutes ces actions de porter sur l’évolution de la société dans son ensemble.
Solidarités Jeunesses est agrée par le Ministère de la Jeunesse, des Sports et de la Vie Associative au titre des associations nationales de jeunesses et d’éducation populaire, est membre de Cotravaux (coordination française des associations de chantier), et du C.N.A.J.E.P (Comité pour les relations Nationales et internationales des Associations de Jeunesse et d’Education Populaire).
Au niveau régional
Les actions régionales expriment au niveau local la dynamique promue nationalement par Solidarités Jeunesses et internationalement par Action Jeunesse pour la Paix, dans le cadre non gouvernemental d’actions et de solidarités internationales. Sept Délégations Régionales, (en Auvergne, en Languedoc-Roussillon, en Franche-Comté, en Poitou-Charentes, en Midi-Pyrénée, en Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur et en Ile de France) et trois associations partenaires, (en Martinique, dans le Vaucluse et en Lorraine), oeuvrent ainsi localement.

A l’international, c’est un réseau de plus de 270 organisations qui oeuvre dans plus de 75 pays, sur tous les continents.
